What exactly is a bite score?
A 0–10 rating of how likely your target species is to feed at your spot in a given window. It weighs tide stage and current, wind speed and direction, swell, water temperature, barometric pressure trend, moon phase and time of day. Unlike black-box "fishing calendars," Sandbar shows you the full factor breakdown — so over time you learn to read the water yourself.
Is the free plan actually usable?
Yes. Free gets you today's score with best windows, complete live conditions at your home spot, a catch log with conditions snapshots, and fish ID scans. Premium exists for people planning the full week across multiple spots and species — if that's not you yet, free will still make you a sharper fisherman.
Will anyone see my spots?
No. Spots, structure markers and access notes are stored on your device. Sandbar never uploads your GPS coordinates, and there's no public map or feed. We're surfcasters; we know exactly why you're asking.
What water does it cover?
Sandbar is built first for the Northeast striper coast — striped bass is the flagship species, alongside bluefish, fluke and other common surf targets. Conditions come from NOAA tide stations and offshore buoys, so coverage follows the station network.
Does it work on the beach with no service?
Your forecast and conditions load when you have signal and stay readable when you don't. Logging catches works offline and syncs the conditions snapshot from the last data pull.
How do I cancel or get my data out?
